The Healthy Communities Initiative (HCI) Music Festival entertained guests of Middletown Pride Day, May 9, 2009, featuring Penncrest High School student bands and a singer. Pride Day was held on the grounds of the Williamson Trade School.

The HCI Music Fest was organized and managed by PHS (then junior) Vickram Premakumar as his BSA Troop 85 Eagle Scout project. Bands on the playbill included Vickram's own band, The Impressionists, as well as Jay Hosang, Forever Nameless, Right Hemisphere and Chaos Theory. Freshman Emily Guihard was the singer who performed for the crowd.
